My heart is heavy for the passing of this shining star. My greatest condolences to all the family. I first met Marjorie at FBCH. As a new person, sitting near the back of the church, she always said hello. She was always ready to share a super smile. a warm hug and a family story. Marjorie was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. I recall that after hearing about my week or my recent happenings she was ready to share a family story about a recent family event or a recent accomplishment of one or more of her children and/or grandchildren. She shared her stories with such delight I often felt like I had been present. Later, unknowing about her full life of volunteering, I would meet her at charity events. She was a busy and well loved person! And, then I realized that she was Hughie’s sister – why wasn’t I surprised. Dressed wonderfully, equipped with a happy heart, willing to share, and with a wonderful laugh that made you want to laugh, I will forever remember her as a true lady and a scholar. I feel sure I will see this shining star each night in the evening sky! I have been blessed by having met her. Blessings to all the family.
