Nan was one of the most important people in my life. One of her greatest lessons was “you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar”. An act of kindness and understanding and compassion would get you further than being forceful or aggressive, nan really embodied that. She often got her way but it was always through gentle and loving words.
