I lived on a small farm in Lower Sackville and attended school at the Halifax Academy on Brunswick Street where I met Marjorie. We had great times together and I was always invited to stay at Marjorie’s when it was difficult for me to do the commute to and from school. I was always made welcome by her Mum and Dad and her three brothers. Her dad’s hobby was a beautiful rose garden. Mary and John were married four years after Bob and me, but we always managed to keep in touch. I remember the two us being charter members of a chapter of the I.O.D.E.
It has been pleasing to think of these old memories
