Marjorie had a heart of gold and was loved by all, including the team at Pier 21.  We were one of a long list of causes she generously supported and we will all miss her dearly.  Marjorie had the ability to light up a room wherever she went.  There was something about her infectious smile and zest for life that drew you in.  She also gave the best hugs!  I enjoyed our many chats together over tea and sharing our views on the world and how to make it better.

Attached a photo from one of her Museum visits.  This one during Remembrance Day celebrations and a play set during the war that we put on for students.  Among the many stories that Marjorie shared with me was her time volunteering at the canteen, greeting the troops on the home front.  I can’t think of anyone better to welcome our troops as they arrived in Halifax and boost their spirits!

Just thinking of her as I write this now, is lifting me up and putting a smile on my face.

She was a very special person and contributed so greatly to our community.

We look forward to celebrating her legacy!
