I liked to call her Auntie Marge, even though she was not related to me by blood, but I could not have loved and respected her more even if she was. We sat many times her listening to my troubled stories of how to navigate life and her ability to empathize and love you for who you were, have left me always leaving with a lightened heart and a sign of newfound courage to continue on! Not so long ago I was introduced to an organization that helped young women in a very basic but profound way and it was like I could hear words whispering in my ear, you can make a difference, I had a story to tell and I had an organization that reached out to young girls, this is where I needed to start. We never got to speak about what I felt in my heart but I knew she would have said, ” My dear Laura, I think this is a great idea! ” When she spoke ” My dear and hugged you goodbye you left different than when you came! ” Always inviting you to return for tea! My Father had such respect and love for ” Marge ” and my Mother enjoyed many a special luncheon that she accompanied Marge to as a guest and I could see that she admired the generous way she gave from a heart that had no bounds! Love you, will always be in my heart! xo
